Educational Workshops:

December 5: Transitions Possibilities

Thursday, December 5, 7pm–9pm

Transitioning to adulthood involves many challenges and possibilities for individuals with special needs. This workshop will provide options to think about and explore as you and your child begin to plan for adulthood. Learn more about resources in employment, housing, transportation/travel, higher education, social and recreational, and skill development. All individuals with special needs, regardless of the level of support needed, have options and support to help them plan for their vision and future. Although this is a transitions themed workshop, many of the topics and resources are appropriate for ages beyond.

Who should attend? Individuals, families, case managers, and community members who want to learn about transitions possibilities for individuals with special needs.

Speaking Organizations:
• George Mason LIFE Program
• City Center NOVA
• ServiceSource
• ENDependence Center of NOVA (Travel Training Program)

Many more organizations and areas will be represented in our transitions-focused resource fair!

This workshop is open to all at no cost.

To RSVP or for more information, please contact Carey Alford, 703.865.6502.
