Children will learn basic water skills using flotation devices to ensure safety and to promote confidence. Skills will include pool safety, bubble blowing, face submersion, floating, kicking, and paddling. Class is limited to four students

Continued focus on body position, control, directional change, forward movement, students learn how to swim to safely from a longer distance than in Level 1. Developing stroke technique in front crawl, back crawl and side stroke. This stage also introduces rhythmic breathing and integrated arm and leg actions. Students begin to build endurance with minimal instructor support. Class is limited to four students.

Students will further develop stroke technique and learn the four competitive strokes – freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly. The emphasis on water safety continues through treading water and elementary backstroke. Class is limited to four students.
