Private Tour of Lucy Burns Museum (In person)
Friday, September 24, 11am-2pm
Meet at 11am at the Workhouse Arts Center, located at 9518 Workhouse Way in Lorton, VA 22079.
This is a private one-hour docent-led tour. Explore professional exhibits and prison cells which tell the story of the 91 years of prison history, as well as the narrative of the suffragists who were imprisoned there in 1917 for picketing the White House for a woman’s right to vote.
Following the tour, join us with your brown bag lunch at the on-site picnic grounds and schmooze. In case of inclement weather, we will have lunch at a nearby restaurant, Brickmakers Café, in Occoquan Regional Park (9751 Ox Rd., Lorton, VA). The café’s menu can be found at: https://www.novaparks.com/parks/brickmakers-cafe
