Presented by Shy Ashkenazi, Pozez JCC Shaliach (Emissary)
Come meet Shy! Being an accomplished singer and songwriter, he will introduce his program with a song/guitar solo, and then discuss how from the late 1970s until today, the Jewish Ethiopian community in Israel has gone through many changes, challenges, and successes. The story of the Aliya through the desert, integration in Israeli society, and their new Jewish home, is “one that is being recorded over and over, and does not cease to amaze,” says Shy.
Coffee, tea, and dessert provided.
No RSVP – Just Come!
