Healing Through Laughter: Medical Clowning, Judaism, and Israel
Thursday, July 30, 7pm ET
Presented by Shy Ashkenazi, Pozez JCC Senior Shaliach
Hospitals can be a scary place to children and can also be a frightening experience for parents who have a sick child in the hospital. To help reduce these fears and anxiety, medical clowning programs are becoming more popular and Israel is at the forefront of this growing practice.
Join Shy, a trained medical clown (and Sr. Shaliach), to laugh and learn as he explores Healing Through Laughter with Ariel "Slinky" Keren, a medical clown with Israel’s Dream Doctor’s program, and Dr. Raymond Quigley, a pediatric nephrologist at Children's Hospital in Dallas, TX.
