Be Your Best Self in 2021: Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia Workshop (virtual)
In partnership with the National Capital Area Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association
Tuesday, August 31, 1pm-2pm
Featuring Volunteer Community Educator Judy Misbin
Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging. It is a progressive and fatal brain disease that is the most common form of dementia. This workshop is for anyone who would like to know more about how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, detection, causes and risk factors, stages of disease, treatment and much more. This is an opportunity for you to learn how to distinguish normal forgetfulness due to aging from dementia and Alzheimer’s. All are welcome.
Fee: Complimentary (however you must register.)
