Join Fordham University Professor Emeritus, Brian Rose, for a 4-part series that will take an in-depth look at The History of the Movie Musical (from The Jazz Singer to A Star is Born), The Golden Age of Hollywood (the rise and 30-year heyday of the movie studio industry), The Golden Age of Television (what the fabulous fifties brought to tv), and The Grandmasters of Comedy (featuring Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks). Brian Rose is a professor emeritus at Fordham University, where he taught for 38 years in the Department of Communication and Media Studies. He has written several books on television history and cultural programming and conducted more than a hundred Q&A’s with leading directors, actors, and writers for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Screen Actors Guild, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and the Directors Guild of America.
