ALI: A Rabbi and A Pope in Conversation
Tuesdays, January 5-19 (3 weeks)
1pm-2:30pm
Featuring John Rybicki, Biblical scholar and historian
Before becoming Pope Francis I, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, archbishop of Argentina, and Rabbi Abraham Skorka were promoters of interreligious dialogue on faith and reason. They had many conversations on a variety of subjects: theological and worldly issues, including God, fundamentalism, atheism, abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, same-sex marriage, and globalization. These conversations have become a book … On Heaven and Earth. In this series we will investigate their responses to a number of these very contemporary issues.
Fee: $36
