"Reading is a passport to countless adventures." Mary Pope Osborne
At the Pozez JCC, we take pride in our own diversity as a Jewish community. People of all diverse faiths, cultures and backgrounds are welcome, and are an important part of the Pozez JCC’s fabric. Embracing and honoring that diversity is fundamental to our mission here at the Pozez JCC.
One way that we can continue this mission is through reading with our youngest children of the community at the ECLC. We have been working on diversifying our books in the classrooms to include more non-fiction books as well as books that show the diversity of our community. Books are a great resource for children to see and hear about people that may experience the world differently than they do. It is one of the first ways children can learn and make sense of our world. I have included an article that details the importance of diverse books for young children.

We have created an Amazon Wishlist of books that we would love to add to our library here.
This QR code will take you to the list.
If you have any other ideas for books, we would love to hear your perspective.
