Kadima is a recreational social skills camp for children with High-Functioning Autism.
Kadima’s mission is to improve social and emotional skills in a safe and nurturing environment. The camp is designed to provide opportunities to build self-esteem, social competence, independence skills, self-awareness and to foster positive relationships. Campers learn and grow dynamically as the camp is designed for social success in an inclusive environment.
Parent meetings provide the opportunity to receive feedback on their children as well as a forum for questions and building camaraderie with other Kadima families.
The camp day includes social skills lessons in conjunction with general camp activities such as swim, sports, arts and crafts, music, cooking, and much more! Both groups will go on a field trip once a week, and rising 4th–6th graders will go on an overnight trip.
Social Skills curriculum includes but is not limited to:

Tikvah is a fun, activity-based camp designed to keep teens busy throughout the summer while offering a variety of traditional and skill-based activities in a supportive environment. Rising 7th–10th graders with ID/DD will have the opportunity to experience Camp Achva both inside and outside of the building with activities ranging from free swim, cooking, and archery to an array of field trips. We will be out and about in the community multiple days during the week taking fun outings that may include classic camp trips, community service projects, working together on team building skills, and much more! Although the main goal of this camp is to kick back and enjoy summer, we will naturally be working on social skills development, life skills, and self-awareness.
