Camp Achva runs for 6 fun-packed weeks during the summer. In the summer of 2022, Camp Achva is offering two, 3-week sessions. Each session will be filled with weekly themed activities, dress up days, special events, and field trips. We invite our campers to get the most out of the camping experience and register for the full 6 weeks offered during the summer! Camp Achva is thrilled to offer transportation from two locations this summer: Beth El Hebrew Congregation in Alexandria, and Pozez JCC in Fairfax. Note that space on the bus is limited. Please register early to ensure a spot for your camper(s).

Membership to the J includes access to our state of the art JFit Health Club, which includes a 25 meter indoor heated lap pool, HIIT studio, full court gymnasium, over 25 fitness classes offered weekly, eligibility to sign up for personal training (fees apply) as well as an outdoor turf area for functional fitness. Additionally, membership also includes recreational programs such as ping pong and cards and games.

Priority Registration: Registrations are processed in the order in which they are received. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Limited Enrollment: Each session has a fixed maximum number of campers that can be accommodated. Parents will be notified if they are put on a waitlist. For the safety of our campers, enrollment cannot be expanded beyond capacity. Please register early to ensure your placement. There is a separate waitlist for each camp group. Slots are filled as space becomes available per group. All programs are contingent upon minimum enrollment and adequate staffing.
Registration Fee: A $50, one-time per camper, non-refundable registration fee must accompany each registration.
Deposit: $250.00 per camper, non-refundable
Deposits & Tuition: Camp deposits and tuition are non-refundable. Any change in payment method must be submitted in writing by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 26, 2022.
See Cancellation Policy below for more details. Total fees and required documents are due by May 2, 2022. Registrations received after May 2 must be accompanied by all documents and full payment upon receipt. A $250 deposit per child is required with each registration. Deposits will be applied towards total camp fees. Camp fees may be paid by check, payable to “Pozez JCC,” charged on VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, or paid by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). A 2% processing fee will be charged for all credit card transactions, and no fee if paid by check or EFT. Delinquent invoices (paid 7 days, or more, after the deadline) will be charged a 5% late fee. If your financial institution declines your EFT, or if a check is returned for insufficient funds, the JCC will assess a $50 fee. Registration Changes: If a participant wishes to make changes to their registration after their registration has already been submitted, a $40 administrative fee will apply.
Cancellation Policy: Camp deposits, registration fees, and tuition are non-refundable. In the event a family must cancel their registration, a written request must be submitted to the Camp Director.

Camp Documents: All camp forms and documents MUST be submitted in full by May 2, 2022. Should you register after May 2, all forms and documents MUST be received in full at the time of registration. This includes ‘Proof of Birth’ and full School Entrance Health Form record of up-to-date immunizations (no exemptions to immunizations accepted). Proof of your camper's COVID-19 vaccination record card will also be required. If your camper is currently 4 years old, proof of vaccination should be provided within 2 months of their 5th birthday. Campers without up-to-date forms and necessary documents on file, per Virginia State Licensing, will not be permitted to attend Camp Achva. Camp Life: Every effort will be made to ensure that campers are able to adjust to camp life, participate in scheduled activities, and accept direction from staff. If they are unable to adjust, they will be asked to withdraw at the discretion of the Director and in consultation with the parents.
On-Site Carpool Procedure: Carpool will operate daily for morning drop off and afternoon pick up. There will be temperature screenings each morning at drop off. Additional information regarding drop-off and pick-up procedures will be provided upon registration.
