A Day at Camp Achva

A Day at Camp Achva

Each day at Camp Achva is jam-packed with fun! Each camp group follows a unique daily schedule that includes a variety of engaging and meaningful activities. From arts & crafts and sports, to Israeli culture and drama, each camper finds something they love at camp while making new friends and gaining new skills!

Camp Achva operates Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm and will begin each morning with Mifkad — a morning program designed to get the energy flowing with dancing, singing, daily announcements, Hebrew-word-of-the-day, birthday celebrations, and more! Following Mifkad, each camp group moves on to their first daily activity and then through the rest of the camp day – see below for details about our daily Achva activities. At camp, campers spend most of our time outdoors, enjoying nature and the opportunity to engage with fellow campers, staff, and our camp wide community.

Each week at camp is themed with a different Jewish value. Our values are universal to all and are infused into our weekly programming. Universal values such as Ahava (Love), Briyut Haguf (Physical Wellness), and Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World) are examples of the wonderful weekly themes we might explore. At Camp Achva, we also have weekly themed dress up days, as well as themed activity days!

Our camp programming grows with campers, arcing through their Camp Achva experience and supporting their development. The programming arc at Camp Achva is designed to meet campers where they are socially, emotionally, and physically, as well as, to challenge campers with where they want to go with expanded activity options as campers age-up through Camp.
