I have a little dreidel, I made it out of clay…..
Each year we celebrate the miracle of Chanukah, where the oil lasted for eight days, instead of one. While the story of the holiday remains our main focus, indulge us for a moment to talk about that wonderful little dreidel and make some comparisons as to how we might be feeling.
Like the dreidel, we might feel like we’ve been spinning a little too much this year and not really sure exactly where we’ll land. Will our hearts win and be full or do we sometimes feel like our glass is half empty? Do we need a quick refill, or have we simply run out of gas? Like some of us, maybe you feel a little bit of all these feelings! We’re here to tell you… you are not alone. You are part of our family and we’re all here to support one another.
This week, we have read books, spun dreidels, eaten and decorated donuts, and so much more. We connected with each other and hope that you were able to connect with friends and family too. We invite you to join us for our last few Chanukah events – virtual and in-person candle lightings, more donuts, and a virtual concert.
May the lights of Chanukah fill your cup with joy and love!
